Job Description:
COMMUNICATION SKILLS MUST BE 10/10. PMP CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED.
1. Research new technologies, products, and trends in the utility industry. Review and obtain appropriate research materials to provide the team with timely and actionable information.
2. Help with creation, research, analysis, evaluation and filtering of project proposals and business cases. Present strategic innovation insights to employees at all levels of the organization.
3. Benchmark best practices innovation programs and patterns. Assist with designing and managing the process that generates and implements new ideas.
4. Shape and oversee research projects and prepare analyses from research, as needed. Lead research and proof of concept activities in support of key new technologies. Partner with key internal clients and external vendors to ensure appropriate and timely delivery of services. Establish goals/ objectives for the project and accurately estimate resources required to complete tasks and objectives. Facilitate transition of successful innovation projects to other organizations.
5. Maintain knowledge of existing core systems and determine the best practices for integrating new technologies into our existing environment. Maintain current knowledge of industry specific trends and direct projects towards the business and ITS partners.
6. Help facilitate developing a culture of innovation across organization. Implement employee collaboration initiatives that provide input into innovation pipeline from parties with diverse perspectives. Work internally with Communications department to formulate programs that solicit for new ideas and contributions.
7. Plan and coordinate periodic executive briefings on key innovation initiatives. Develop and present strategic information in a meaningful and influential manner to senior management.
