FILE ATTACHMENT SUPPORT:
The system provides for the uploading of attachments to change requests. Each attachment entered into the system triggers a series of events for the related request, including storing the attachment on the file server, associating a link to the attachment with the request in the database, and sending automatic email notifications to all pertinent parties based on the rules defined in the Rules Manager. The attachment module of the system serves as a vehicle for channeling communications involving the change request. Links to the attachments appear on the request in chronological order. The request will show detailed information indicating who attached the file, the role of the person attaching the file, the date the file was attached, and the brief message for the attachment. |
